The Black Silk Road bookThe Black Silk Road

Praise

Blowback on The Black Silk Road

“The Black Silk Road is a combination spy thriller and smart romance story. The principal characters are enmeshed in the ongoing crisis in the Middle East and South Asia circa 1998 – 2001. Some work for the U.S. Government, some for Pakistan, and some are Taliban / Al Qaeda fighters. One of the major plot themes is the well documented link between the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency, Al Qaeda and the Pakistani ISI. The novel is very well written, and a very good and exciting read.”

— Frank Boeheim

An Eye Opening Read

“One of the better books on the theme of Islamist Fundamentalism: it basically gives you a view from the other side. And by other, I mean, the non-American side. I would not like to spoil it for you but be prepared for some serious eye-openers, which may drastically change the way you have viewed some incidents.  Nothing in the book is conclusive, but the speculation itself is the best part, leaving you mulling over what you just read. The book has a splattering of romantic parts, which are almost never interrupted by violence or shock. Although it does not have a sad ending, all is arguably not so well, that ends well.”

— Sushobhan Parida

A can’t-put-it-down kind of book…

“A gripping read that takes thoroughly researched history, past and present, and makes it engagingly personal. A murder mystery thriller, the love story captivates one emotionally. The political conflicts illuminate insightfully regarding the actions of those in power (money laundering, drug trafficking, and selling arms to rogue governments) in their quest for oil, money, power! The story puts faces on characters who come alive in this drama, and you are left with greater awareness and compassionate understanding about Asian/Muslim/Middle-east/Western/Caucasian/Christian interactions, challenges and conflicts. Well researched and brilliantly written! The “Black Silk Road” is material for a powerful movie.”
